This is a beautiful campground with many amenities. Sites on our West Loop were all level and long enough for large motorhomes. They asked us to shut off the water after filling our tank at night with the light snow that had been falling in the morning. Access to the Mall of America is only six miles and easy to get to. This campground closes on Oct. 18 so we only get four nights. Other loops without full hook-ups would give more privacy but are not as level and tighter to get to. The water hook-up is near the front of the site requiring at least 25' of hose. Satellite access in this loop is excellent. The office manager was very helpful and came over to our site and suggested we let the water run for a minute before hooking up to get iron out of the water line. We will definitely stay here again.
We stayed in this campground in October and we were the only camper there. On the positive side; Lake Superior view, access for kayaking, and closeness to Bayfield and the Apostle Islands was terrific. Our site 32 has full hookups with 50 amps, water and sewer and satellite TV. Many sites are unlevel and require 8 to 10 inches to raise your rig. Since we got here after a lot of rain, the mud on the streets and some sites was a concern, but that is the weather. There is nothing fancy in this campground but its access to the area is very good.
We arrived at this campground after light snow had come down. We were in site BC near the lake and got satellite TV and had 50 amp service but the water had been shut off with the cold temperatures. This campground is about 18 miles from the city of Hayward. We put our kayaks in the lake which was only 100 feet from the motorhome. Paddling here was excellent with lots of options. We could not get Verizon wireless from here. During warmer climate full hookups are available in some sites.
Many spaces available here this time of year. Road work nearby but not to bad. Sites are not real level but we picked the levelest one. Water was still on after snow fall of 5 inches a week ago so we appreciated that. Pull throughs were pretty easy to access. Full hook-ups, only 30 amp at our site, and Direct TV. Valley City is a cute little town with an excellent quilt shop and some nice restaurants.
We arrived here and there were only two other campers in the park. We got site 76 which was a back-in with 50 amp electricity and satellite TV but it was marginal. We had some lake view from here. It was one of the quietest parks we have ever stayed in. Our Verizon Internet worked well. Access to mtn. biking trails and boat launch was very good. The city of Chippewa Falls is only about 15 minutes away. Campsites here have many trees and nice privacy.
Signs and directions to get into this campground are very poorly done. The sign at the gas station verifies camping and when we went in they said we no longer own it. We finally ended up at a tavern and the man at the counter said his friend recently took it over and he needed do make some new signs and clean things up. When the manager showed up he took us to an all grass site where water had been shut off and said our levelers would need support under them because of the soft grass. We did that in a fairly unlevel site. It was quiet since we were the only non-permanent people there. They claim 50 some sites there but I sure didn't see anywhere near that many. Access to many near lakes was a high point. We would not stay here again.
This is a very nice RV park. Our back-in site had plenty of room and neighbors were 30 feet away. Cable TV was very nice. The manager gave us a lot of information on where to bike and kayak in the area. Trees provide shade and a very nice setting and the central location here in Bemidji is very convenient for seeing the area. We would definitely stay here again.
We drove by the entrance to this campground since no signs indicating where to go were provided. Went to the office and they said only the lake front sites were available with water and 20 amp electricity. Our 35' motorhome would not fit between their road and the shoreline without sticking out into the access road. We went back to the office and the owner said 45' motorhomes have parked here. I don't believe it! We drove to the end of the access area with a hard time turning around so that we could park at one of the two sites that would take up less of the road. Since we were the only motorhome there and one other tent trailer I guess space was OK. They have no dump station here so you have to go into Ely to dump.
We arrived here at the end of September and there were only 4 other campers here. We got a nice long pull-through with 50 amps and full hook-ups and satellite TV access. Distance between sites is very good. Access to the city is excellent and biking, hiking and kayaking are easy to get to. The owner was very friendly and gave us info on what to do here.
We stayed in site 17, a nice back-in site with satellite reception. Our 36' motorhome fit easily. Restrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained. Access for canoeing or kayaking on Fall Lake and into the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness was excellent. The trees and fall colors were very nice. Ely, Minnesota is only 10 minutes away for shopping, gas, and the only dump station in the area. Be sure and fill your water tank and have empty holding tanks if staying very long.
When we arrived in International Falls this was the only campground that was still open. Some sites were in the trees and a few a little more open. I was able to get satellite from our site #4. It's closeness to the Canadian border is only a few minutes away. Access for our kayaking to Rainy Lake and Rainy River were very near. Voyageurs National Park was only 10 miles away. This is a basic campground but with great proximity to beautiful outdoor recreation.
This campground had excellent pull throughs and the space between sites was very nice. Free breakfasts are offered during the prime season. This is very close to Craters of the Moon. The managers were very friendly and wanted to know if there was anything they could do for us. The town of Arco is very small and surrounded by farm land. A bicycle path near town is quite nice.
This campground was very small with only 5 sites but very private and quiet. Full hook-ups were easily accessible and the distance between sites was very nice. Cable TV was provided and the owners were very friendly with suggestions for hiking and kayaking. We were only two blocks from town so access to art shops, groceries and restaurants was easy. Wallow Lake is a few minutes away and the towns of Enterprise and Willowa are only a half hour. Our weekly rate was $120. There are no restrooms or showers.
This is a beautiful Oregon State Park. Privacy,50 amp service, and water is available. Views from this area are excellent and the lighthouse is very interesting. The length of sites really help big R.V.s. The dump station is closed because of problems.
